Hello, we are Demetrio and Giusy.
We created these three spaces to share what we know best: the charm of La Maddalena from the inside, not as a visitor passing through. "La Maddalena is not a place — it is an experience we want to share with you" — and the apartments are the most direct way to do this.
Three distinct characters, three locations on the island, three ways to live the archipelago. Each is designed for a different kind of stay. This page helps you choose the right one.
Isola apartment — the view that changes your morning
The panorama
There are apartments with sea views, and then there is Isola. The difference is the angle: from the living room and bedrooms, the sea is not a postcard backdrop — it is the first thing you see when you open your eyes and the last before you turn off the light. Sunsets over the archipelago from this window have a quality that is hard to describe until you have seen them. Mornings — with morning light already flooding in and water that only has that colour for half an hour — are why our guests ask to return to Isola the following year.
The spaces
Isola is a real apartment: two bedrooms furnished with care for rest after long days, a bright, spacious living room designed for being together without feeling cramped, a fully equipped kitchen — with dishwasher — for fish from the morning boat straight to the pot. Washing machine, TV, and WiFi complete a setup that leaves nothing out.
Who it is for
Isola is for people who come to the archipelago for the sea in the most literal sense: divers, RIB renters, anyone who wants to wake up with blue already in front of them. With parking available, it is also a natural base if you arrive with bikes or your own gear. Perfect for a couple looking for a romantic escape, a family, or a group of friends sharing the same idea of a holiday: one where the sea is the centre of every day.
Madda apartment — the centre as a way of life
The location
Madda is a studio — and that is the only thing that must be said honestly upfront. A compact space, calibrated for people who want to live the island outside, not inside the flat. In return, the location is unmatched: right in the historic centre, steps from the ferry dock, Cala Gavetta, the pedestrian promenade, and the pier for boat trips to the islands — plus nearby buses to beaches on Caprera and La Maddalena.
Independence
A car is not essential — it is almost a hindrance. Restaurants, bars, and supermarkets are all walkable. Buses near the flat reach the main beaches without a private vehicle. For more freedom, scooter and bike rental is a short walk away. The ferry from Palau drops you a hundred metres from the door: arrive, unpack, go out. No extra complications.
Our welcome
We do not live on site full-time, but we are always reachable by phone. A trusted person handles cleaning and key handover, and we stay available for anything — from where to eat that evening to something more urgent.
Madda is for people who want to live the island day to day: shopping at the morning market, sitting in the bars where Maddalenini sit, ending the evening with the harbour under your window. A flat where small size is a strength, not a weakness — because everything that matters is outside the door.
Lena apartment — light, garden, and a ritual of outdoor life
The location
Lena sits on the south-west coast of the island, five minutes on foot from the beach. It is not in the centre — it is in a quiet residential area, with shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby and private parking that in August is worth as much as the stay itself. The rhythm is different from Madda: slower, more domestic, better suited to people who come to stay, not only to move.
Spaces — inside and out
Lena is a bright, spacious three-bedroom flat — room for families or anyone who needs space. But the heart of the flat is outside: a 14 m² terrace overlooking a lush private garden, with sofas and loungers for moments when you do not want to do anything in particular. The garden also has a double outdoor shower with hot water — the ritual after a day at sea, before stepping back into the cool of the flat. And a private barbecue for dinners under the stars that become the fixed memory of every stay.
Who it is for
Lena is balance. Not the urban concentration of services like Madda, not Isola's absolute view — but a flat where every part of the day has its place: morning coffee on the terrace, afternoon at the beach five minutes away, evening at the barbecue with something fresh. Ideal for families with children, for people who bring gear in the car and do not want to worry about parking, for anyone who wants the sea close without it being the only option.
Why choose us
Knowledge of the archipelago
The guides you have read on this site — winds, beaches, Caprera trails, light, seasons, boats, food — are not written by a copywriter. They are written by us, who live here and know the archipelago season by season. When you book one of our apartments, that same knowledge is available directly: which operator fits your sea plans, which cove works with tomorrow's wind, where to eat well that evening without a reservation.
Three locations, one logic
Madda in the heart of the village for people who want the island on foot, without thinking about transport. Isola with parking and sea view for people who arrive with gear and want nature as the main character. Lena with garden, parking, and beach nearby for people who want balance between comfort and open air. You do not need to pick the "most beautiful" in absolute terms — you need the one that matches the kind of holiday you want.
Real support
A phone number that answers. A trusted person on site. Us reachable for anything, from restaurant advice to an emergency. No fully automated check-in, no code on the wall without someone behind it — or when there is a code, there is always someone behind it too.
