1. Picchi di Coticcio
- Location and Access: East of Caprera, sheltered from W and NW winds. Three mooring buoys are available. The area includes restrictions (no fishing, speed limit 3 knots).
- Morphology: Granite buttresses, pinnacles, steep walls and channels with tafoni-shaped erosional forms.
- Marine Life: Schools of salema and seabream, barracuda, large groupers, plus occasional amberjack and dentex. In shaded zones: colourful sponges, morays, scorpionfish and brown comber.
2. Scoglio del Gotto
- Location: North of Barettinelli di Fuori (with navigation light), among emergent granite rocks.
- Morphology: Route among ridges and a central channel rich in fissures and boulders; northern slope down to ~25 m over detrital bottom.
- Marine Life: Photophilic algae in shallower zones (including _Caulerpa racemosa_), plus salema, wrasse and mullet; deeper coralligenous sectors with red gorgonians (_Paramuricea clavata_), morays and congers.
3. Scoglio del Pilastrino
- Location: In the channel between La Maddalena and mainland Sardinia, marked by a pillar on emergent rocks.
- Morphology: Granite blocks, cracks and channels descending to ~25 m; high biodiversity even at modest depth.
- Marine Life: Protected yellow and cave sponges (_Aplysina_ spp.), bryozoans, ascidians and occasional red gorgonians; striped seabream beneath overhangs.
4. Scoglio di Mortoriotto
- Location: Southern sector of the Park (MA zone), near Mortorio Island; two granite islets, one with a beacon.
- Morphology: Terraced descent to ~40 m ending in detrital plain with coralligenous formations.
- Marine Life: Notable presence of false black coral (_Savalia savaglia_) around 36-40 m, red gorgonians, orange sponges, lobster, red scorpionfish and moray eels.
5. Scoglio di Spargiotto
- Morphology: Broad rocky relief rising to ~3 m below surface, split by a sandy channel to ~26 m, with tafoni, fractures and boulders alternating with posidonia patches.
- Marine Life: Salema, seabream, damselfish and large dusky groupers; local gorgonians and diffuse _Caulerpa racemosa_; patches of protected _Posidonia oceanica_.
6. Secca di Spargi (Washington)
- Morphology: Large rocky relief with top at ~6 m; big eroded granite blocks, hollows and tafoni down to ~25 m. Four moorings are generally available.
- Marine Life: Abundant groupers, corvine, seabream, dentex and barracuda; strong colour contrast between photophilic surfaces and animal-rich shaded sectors, including protected _Aplysina cavernicola_ and red gorgonians.
